Thomas Storey Fabrications Group is proud to announce an exciting collaboration with Bottled Up Blokes, a global men’s mental health support group, to enhance the well-being of our employees. This partnership reflects our commitment to creating a supportive and open environment for all team members, particularly addressing the growing need for mental health awareness in the workplace.
Bottled Up Blokes is an organisation that provides men around the world with the tools and spaces they need to address their mental health. From peer support groups to exclusive men’s-only Facebook groups, the initiative offers a variety of outlets where men can speak freely, share experiences, and receive support. Additionally, Bottled Up Blokes runs a popular podcast, “Opened Up,”, and organises regular football sessions as part of their peer support initiative. Recently, they’ve expanded their reach by teaming up with Nottingham Forest Football Club, furthering their impact in local communities.
At Thomas Storey, we recognise the importance of mental well-being and are committed to creating an environment where employees feel supported. In alignment with Bottled Up Blokes, we are taking steps to train our line managers as certified Mental Health First Aiders. All facilitators at the BUB HUB are trained in mental health first aid, and we aim to mirror this by equipping our management with the same skills. This training will provide our managers with the ability to offer an approachable, safe space for employees who may be struggling. As a company, we believe that supporting mental health leads to happier, more engaged employees. By creating a space where individuals can speak openly about their challenges, we are contributing to a healthier, more productive workplace.
Ray O’Brien, HR Manager said: “We take mental health very seriously at TSF Group and the new partnership with BUB will hopefully bring increased awareness about men’s mental health and the importance of having a safe space at work.”
